Dr. Jay Jakub is the Executive Director of the Economics of Mutuality (EoM) Foundation (www.eom.org) headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, though he is based in Palm Beach, Florida. Jay is a founding Board member of the Alliance's Human Flourishing Foundation, also based in Switzerland, and is an advisor to Singapore’s Alliance for Action on Corporate Purpose. Jay is on the Board of Commence - a merger of Doma Technologies and Livanta LLC - which is data-driven healthcare solutions company headquartered in Virginia. And Jay is a Board advisor to Eagle Ventures, with offices in Fort Worth, Texas, Singapore, and Zurich, Switzerland.
Dr. Jakub is an international speaker, author, former senior civil servant, and former Senior Director for External Research at Mars, Inc., maker of iconic brands like M&Ms, Snickers, Mars Bar, Wrigley’s gum, Pedigree pet food and more. Mars – with $50bn in annual revenue and employing some 150,000+ associates – was the incubator for the EoM business model management innovation and funded the launch in 2020 of the independent EoM Alliance. EoM now consists of the not-for-profit EoM Foundation, which delivers the EoM approach to mutual value creation through global educational partnerships, such as with Oxford University and via EoM Centers of Excellence in the Netherlands, South Korea and soon in Norway, and by reconnecting business to communities; Mutual Value Labs, owned by the Foundation, but a for-profit consultancy delivering EoM to corporate clients; the Human Flourishing Foundation, which delivers EoM at a local community empowerment and individual vocational level; and Mutual Value Investments, which is transforming the way investment capital is deployed to use measurable impact to drive superior value creation and performance.

He’s a contributing co-author of Putting Purpose into Practice: The Economics of Mutuality (Oxford University Press, 2021), and is the author of Spies and Saboteurs (Macmillan & St. Martin’s Press, 1999).
